Paradise Dry Dock 1/27 – 2/11

Does anyone have the info on what we will done to Carnival Paradise while in dry dock 1/27 – 2/11 and is this still the correct timeframe for her to be in dry dock? Thanks!

I'm on the first cruise back on 2/11! Can't wait to see what's been done! Does anyone know if "routine hotel maintenance" includes any room updates? Not that we spend much time in the room - but it would be nice if the giant box in the corner with the light up ship was gone : )

What I don't understand is why they are not doing the Funship 2.0 upgrades during this drydock and why they are waiting until 2015 to do them.

I also wonder when they are doing to refurbish the cabins. The only Fantasy class ships without refurbished staterooms are the Elation and the Paradise.

 

EOF is evolutions of fun.

 

Fantasy debuted in 1990 and the staterooms were refurbished in 2003 pre EOF. So after 13 years they were refurbished.

Ecstasy debuted in 1991 and the staterooms were refurbished in 2006 pre EOF. So after 15 years they were refurbished.

Sensation debuted in 1993 and the staterooms were refurbished in 2009 during EOF. So after 16 years they were refurbished.

Imagination debuted in 1995 and the staterooms were refurbished in 2007 during EOF. So after 12 years they were refurbished.

Inspiration debuted in 1996 and the staterooms were refurbished in 2008 during EOF. So after 11 years they were refurbished.

 

Both the Elation and Paradise debuted in 1998 and it is 2011 almost 2012, so they are going on 13/14 years old, so it is about time for them to be refurbished.

 

It looks like for the other ships the cabins were refurbished over a months long drydock. So it doesn't look like they will be refurbished during this upcoming drydock.

The drydock is next month, sounds like your cruise is in 2013.
