okgirl Posted December 16, 2011 #16 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Galveston is well known for dense fog during Dec.-March, so is anyone surprized???????? Nope, not me. I've been delayed boarding more than once in Galveston. That's why I never arrive at any embarkation port without water, nutrition bars and peanuts in my carry on. flounder315 Posted December 16, 2011 #17 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Wow, wonder if they had the welcome aboard show while they were at the dock? Bet there was a good turn out if they did, since they can't open the shops or the casino until they are in International Waters...

Bet there was a good turn out if they did, since they can't open the shops or the casino until they are in International Waters... The last time this happened to me we didn't board until almost 6pm. It was open seating in the dining rooms and in addition to the Casino being closed and the Shops closed the bar's were running out of liqour because in Galveston there are limited selections until you are at sea because any liqour served while in Texas waters has to be purchased in Texas. We finally sailed around 2am........
