hondorner Posted December 22, 2011 #26 Share Posted December 22, 2011 Why would they schedule evening trivia at 8:30? It's not a senior citizen center, it's a cruise line. I seem to recall musical trivia at 10 or 10:30PM. Evening trivia is scheduled to complete before the show at 9:45. Name that tune is usually after the show, which generally ends at 10:30. That's not the reason we dine early; the relaxed service in the Grand Dining Room (which we always prefer over the hustle-bustle of the Terrace) often makes it difficult to make the show on time, especially with great tablemates -- the conversation seems to go on of its own accord. And, we almost never miss the show. It is 6:30 by the way, which is late enough for us as we often have dinner around 5 PM at home. When we dine with Jim and Stan, we compromise at 7 PM :) -- but that's when it's really hard to be finished by showtime.
bbwex Posted December 23, 2011 #27 Share Posted December 23, 2011 We were on a 14-day cruise in a B cabin, and had 7 meals in the specialty restaurants (on Regatta). You can check each morning to see if there are openings at any or all of the restaurants, and you should be able to snag extra reservations on several nights. Just be a little flexible on your times.
