jemrtt Posted December 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2011 I come from a family of cruisers. In the past DM has only gone on Celebrity, CCL and RCI. She abhored CCL, but the others she was very fond of. When I tried NCL in Dec. 2007, I encouraged her to try it...NOT! I wasn't sure if I'd failed to "sell" it correctly, or if she really could be that stubborn. I did another NCL in feb 2010. Tried "selling" her on freestyle once more...NOT! It seemed bleek at that point. Finally!!!!!!!!! DM & Step DD tried NCL Jewel out of New York Dec 3rd to 10th 2011. They really enjoyed it. Their only complaints were how cool the weather was & the smokers on the Balcony (which you must deal with on any non-smoking ship) They are sold! Now I'm working on my "Princess" loving DS and her family.
DDMau Posted December 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Way to go Mom and welcome to NCL. We have been around since 2002 and love the Freestyle cruising.
CruisinMaterial Posted December 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Glad to read of more NCL converts! I sailed NCL in 2003 on a full ship charter and liked their product and when we couldn’t find an itinerary to Egypt that worked with Princess, mom and I tried NCL and mom loved it! Except for using a future cruise credit with Princess, we haven’t looked back. NCL is far better at catering to across the spectrum of ages they have then Princess does. As for your mom’s opinion on Carnival, I agree with her too! LOL :D
jdvmd Posted December 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Another converted! Glad they enjoyed their time. Hopefully, there will be more NCL cruises in their future.
