I agree that they are annoying. Photographers everywhere ya turn, like singing/dancing waiters, are amongst the worse things on a cruise. But as also mentioned, 2 seconds to smile and play along does the trick. We play along or if possible do the eye-contact and wave them away move. We have never bought any, let alone looked at them on that wall.

 

The ones right off the ship can be avoided easier, as they are taking shots of others, move faster around them.

That has always been a pet peeve of mine. I just got off a 10 hr flight -I am unshaven, dirty and tired and want to get to my cabin to freshen up. The last thing I want to do is wait for pictures. We were on the dockside on a Baltic cruise and watched the photographers almost assault people getting off the ship.
