mapsmith Posted December 25, 2011 #26 Share Posted December 25, 2011 The one I hate is the pirate. I have found that when they get ready to snap the pic, if I lean over and kiss him on the cheek, we don't get interrupted again. (I'm a guy and my wife finds this funny.) STARFISH*4 Posted December 25, 2011 #27 Share Posted December 25, 2011 its not a big deal if we dont mind having a pic we take a sec, if we dont we say "No Thank You-not tonight" same with other pics (gangplank etc) we either stop and take a pic or just go on by. its really no "big deal" if you dont let it be.... askimdog Posted December 25, 2011 #28 Share Posted December 25, 2011 I agree that they are annoying. Photographers everywhere ya turn, like singing/dancing waiters, are amongst the worse things on a cruise. But as also mentioned, 2 seconds to smile and play along does the trick. We play along or if possible do the eye-contact and wave them away move. We have never bought any, let alone looked at them on that wall. The ones right off the ship can be avoided easier, as they are taking shots of others, move faster around them.
Taxguy77 Posted December 25, 2011 #29 Share Posted December 25, 2011 No wonder I've enjoyed the last few cruises, no photogs! Not that D--- intrusive, anyway.
Talisker92 Posted December 26, 2011 #30 Share Posted December 26, 2011 That has always been a pet peeve of mine. I just got off a 10 hr flight -I am unshaven, dirty and tired and want to get to my cabin to freshen up. The last thing I want to do is wait for pictures. We were on the dockside on a Baltic cruise and watched the photographers almost assault people getting off the ship.
chuckwagon52 Posted December 26, 2011 #31 Share Posted December 26, 2011 If its the main course you could always flick peas at their lenses.
