aussie2324 Posted December 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2011 We will be coming to the States Sept 2012. There will be 8 of us. Would it be cheaper to get 2 cabs from LAX to our hotel in Anaheim or a shuttle?
kenish Posted December 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Here you go: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g32655-c3183/Los-Angeles:California:Getting.To.Theme.Parks.html http://graylineanaheim.com/shuttles.shtml Either take the Gray Line bus or a shared shuttle van. Since there's a good volume of passengers between LAX and DL, it's unlikely a shared van will stop enroute to drop others off at residences or businesses. Also due to volume the fares on the van or bus are reasonable. I personally recommend Karmel Shuttle, browse this board and you will find many positive comments. That's not the case with Super Shuttle or Primetime, although they are usually OK.
Candie Posted December 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2011 We booked with a company called Sav-On Shuttle for LAX to Long Beach terminal. Private van for 8 and will include car seats or booster seats which is law in CA. Haven't travelled yet, but I will post once we do.
AnotherJenny Posted December 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I second Disneyland Resort Express (Grayline). In California carseats or boosters are required for kids until age 8 or height 4'9" in taxis or shuttle vans, but not charter buses like Grayline. Sav-on shuttle mentioned above is the only one I've ever heard of that will provide a carseat. Also, the taxi will run upwards of $100. You may be able to book a Disney package that includes the park tickets, hotel and ground transportation.
Adventures ahead Posted December 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I've read that because cabs are metered and traffic can be heavy and slow that taxis are not the way to go.
Rare PatriciaF Posted December 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2011 An exclusive 9 passenger van from LAX to Disneyland is $107 (plus a tip of $20 or so) from SuperShuttle (www.supershuttle.com)
