rockedge Posted April 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2005 Has anyone just gone to the dock and booked with a company right there? If so, what tours were offered and what companies or people did you use. We always book this way and have always have had fun but I haven;t seen anyone talking about it. ronrythm Posted April 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2005 Because this is a tender port and a longer boat ride than most tender ports, as the ships have to anchor a long way out, most people prefer to have their activity set up before-hand. Especially as most ships don't spend a full day in Belize.

clackey Posted June 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Hola, We booked our tour online, but my brother-in-law booked a snorkeling tour at the dock in Belize and got a great deal. He asked some of the locals about it and they directed him to the proper guides. Only charged them $40 @. Have a great trip and eat a shrimp for me. Snoozeman Posted June 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2005 You could book almost any tour you wished after arriving at the dock. Really no need to prebook. IMHO the tour operators fill out their pre-booked tours with walk-ups from the dock. We booked Zoo tour with local operator who stopped anywhere we asked, including convience store, ice creme parlor, great local place for lunch, etc. $100 for four people. :) Snooze
Guest pinkburro Posted June 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2005 we had an excursion booked thru RCI but it was cancelled. we tendered ashore, checked out the tours on dock, choose a tour in a nice air conditioned van for 35 dollars apiece and had a wonderful time for three hours. you might check out www.belizetaxitours.com ,manny was our guide. very friendly and answered a thousand questions about his country.
