Blue Lagoon Island - question

Can anyone tell me if there is decent snorkeling from shore on Blue Lagoon Island? Sounds like a great place to visit, but I'd also like to be able to snorkel. We have our own gear.

we have been there- many years ago and the snorkeling was great. They do have a website http://www.bahamasbluelagoon.com/ and you can get some information there too- we loved it! :) Not sure if you can bring your own or if you still have to pay extra

There is some "novice" snorkeling, but nothing I'd pay to do.

 

Bring your own gear and go around the bend (you'll know what I mean when you get there)

 

Suff on the back side of the island is too rough this time of year, so please don't enter without a life guard.
