How strict is Long Beach/Splendor regarding carry-on's (wine/water)

We were on Splendor a couple years ago and they seemed pretty relaxed there. People were bringing on the larger bottled of wine and 2 per person. Also, water and soda were not being searched to see if they were open. Our friends are leaving on Splendor next weekend and asked me about this. Have they gotten more strict and what is the wine limit per person?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, Long Beach is getting more strict than they used to be. We've seen lots more bottles confiscated on our more recent cruises. The Carnival limit is 1 750ml bottle of wine/champagne per adult.
