Wyndham or Breezes

Hi there,

 

We are three gals in our early 50's taking a gal-pal cruise, first cruise for two of them.

 

In Nassau trying to decide on Wyndham or Breezes? Wyndham looks really nice, but we can't see the beach in any pictures.

 

The AI part of Breezes appeals to two of us.

 

Can anyone comment on food, drinks and facilities of either one?

Hey Robin, I am also on this sailing and looking at these two places for a nice beach day.I am going solo this time and I'm also early 50's, maybe I 'll run into you girls. I'm also considering the British Hilton. It's $50 but they give you a $30 voucher for food and drinks and its an easy walk from the pier. I hope we have great weather:)

Well it's a small world, isn't it!

 

After I asked my question I also read about the Hilton and thought it sounded good too.

 

Hopefully we will get some feedback on all three.

Here's a run down on these properties. There's plenty of additional info on the boards as well.

 

Breezes is $60 and adults only (14 and over except during spring break which is 18 and over).. Its a party place during spring break. It's an older property, but has a great beach and decent staff. This is truly a "resort" atmosphere, with announcements and pool games etc. I wouldn't stay here as a guest, but for the beach and pool, it's fine.

This is for those who want to drink and are active. Independent jet skis. snorkeling and parasailing available for a fee.

 

 

Wynhdam is $40 pp and includes a buffet lunch (no alcohol included).. It's a nice, but older property. Swim up bar, water slide DJ, etc. The beach in front is just a shallow lagoon, but a short walk to the west of the property is the real beach.. which connects to the Sheraton.

 

Sheraton is $25pp and does not include food, but does have indoor cafe and outdoor grill. This is a resort atmosphere, 3 pools, great beach, free water toys, free snorkeling from shore (gear included) and has independent jet skis and parasailing available for a fee.

 

The wyndham and Sheraton are more family oriented, and include a casino as well as cafes, bars, ice cream shop, etc.

 

British Colonial Hilton is $55 at the front desk or $50 from Island marketing in advance. This includes a $30 voucher which you can use towards lunch or drinks. BCH has poolside and beach service. Its' quiet and relaxing and on a private beach at the mouth of the harbour. This is a business hotel and NOT a resort atmosphere.. You won't' find pool games and piped in music. Not many kids, as there is little for them to do..

 

Cabanas, day beds and covered beds are available poolside, on the beach and on the lawn, along with hammocks for relaxing.

This IS my favorite spot for relaxing. You'll mostly find people reading, sleeping or sunning.. not much else.

 

 

Breezes, Wyndham and Sheraton are accessible by the #10 jitney for $1.25pp.

Hilton is a short walk from the port.

Thanks Scubagirrl.....I am leaning toward the Hilton because it sounds so lovely and relaxing, and I like the fact its an easy walk from the port. I plan on doing some shopping afterwards at the straw market. Any other shopping areas you can recommend?

Yes, Breezes in an all inclusive. Lunch Buffet or Tiki Bar.
