World Gallery Posted January 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2012 We are considering doing the Food Tour with Athens Walking Tours - http://www.athenswalkingtours.gr/Athens-Food-Tour We have kids ages 11-18 and we think they would enjoy this. Has anyone done this tour or used Athens Walking Tours for any of their other tours? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted January 2, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Can't speak to the food tour, but I used them for their Acropolis tour (their "famous" one) and found it quite good.
Mura Posted January 18, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2012 I know my post is too late to help the OP but maybe it will help someone else who has the same question. We did the Food Tour in October and it was a marvelous day. We saw parts of Athens (such as the various food markets -- meat, fish, etc.) that most tourists don't see. A couple of husbands who hadn't been particularly looking forward to the tour said it was the best tour they'd had so far on the cruise (we were towards the end of our cruise by the time we were in Athens). And with all the tastings we did, we didn't bother with lunch (although some others in our group did). I would highly recommend this tour.
