momx8 Posted January 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2012 We are making our first trip to alaska in july 1012 on the diamond princess and are trying to decide what to do in ketchikan. I would like to see the misty fjords area and was wondering if it is better to do it by boat or plane, and which company I should look at. Thanks. Assateague Island Princes Posted January 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2012 We found flightseeing over Misty Fiords w/Michelle of Island Wings to be a spectacular tour! Landed on a small island in the middle of the fiords, spent some time walking around enjoying the peace and solitude. It was a wonderful day, and Michelle is a competent pilot and a lovely person. Budget Queen Posted January 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2012 I have boated Misty Fiords once, and all other trips in, probably 15+++ have been round trip fly ins. I never tire of this. :) I highly recommend Southeast Aviation.
