et1770 Posted January 12, 2012 #105 Share Posted January 12, 2012 The next morning, we woke up in beautiful St. Thomas! We are never off to an early start... our idea of vacation doesn't involve waking up early (for Rachel and me, anyway... Dad's always out late and up early. The guy doesn't sleep!) With 2 daughters as pretty as you and your sister, keeping the wolves at bay is a 24/7 job!

Sharon Sails Posted January 12, 2012 #107 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Some great pics of the beaches you visited - but they all look a lot like home to me (Florida). Did you do any other activities, or were you pretty much looking just for beaches? Pics were great fun, by the way!
mon1jan1 Posted January 13, 2012 #108 Share Posted January 13, 2012 I must ask, where do you buy your swimsuit coverups? My 16 year old is loving your outfits. We are on the Allure over spring break. Thanks for the review!!!
morgiemoo Posted January 13, 2012 #109 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Great review, thanks for sharing! Looks like your family had a GREAT time. CruisinMacDonalds Posted January 13, 2012 #110 Share Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) You guys are AWESOME... By far my favorite review ever, but maybe that's because your actually in my age group. My sister and I are cruisin solo next weekend, and I'm thinking of doing a sister photo review like you guys! :p Too cute :) Edited January 13, 2012 by CruisinMacDonalds

We leave in a week on AOS and there really aren't that many photo reviews out there, so it's really appreciated! We just get little sundresses to wear as coverups.

Rare LittleMissMagic Posted January 13, 2012 Author #115 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Tonight was Quest night. We go crazy. There weren't a lot of people playing in comparison to what we've seen before on the Voyager-class ships. Also, only the front few rows of our section would participate. Rachel was the girl runner for our team. I got us extra points for my awesome worm. Apparently I get a lot of air (not to mention most girls can't really do the worm). Our friends from Texas also love the Quest game. Derrick wouldn't be the runner because his parents were watching... but he did agree to do this.... Yeah.... that's my dress. Don't worry... someone gave me a giant t-shirt to wear.
Rare LittleMissMagic Posted January 13, 2012 Author #116 Share Posted January 13, 2012 That night was also "Club Twenty" in the Solarium because the kids had Jester's, again (they closed the adult nightclub for kids to use two days that week). It turned out to be an awesome party, and we prefered the atmosphere a lot more than Jester's - it was nice and airy with the ocean breeze. This guy greeted us home... joand452 Posted January 13, 2012 #117 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Was your CD Dennis? We loved him on Brilliance. I can't believe how many empty seats there were for Quest!

Yes, we actually had Dennis once before on the Serenade. I'm not really a big fan. He repeats everything he says at least once. "Do you... DO YOU???" And that high-pitch voice thing he does gets on my nerves. But he's a good singer. His wife and kids were onboard our sailing. He brought his son out with him for Christmas caroling. Rare LittleMissMagic Posted January 14, 2012 Author #121 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Also, Rachel and I went hot tubbing at 3 that morning. We could see lights from St. Lucia in the distance. A lady mopping the floors told us that we had dropped anchor about thirty minutes ago and would lift anchor at 7 in the morning and sail into port. Rare LittleMissMagic Posted January 15, 2012 Author #124 Share Posted January 15, 2012 As I'm sure you've picked up, we're make-plans-as-we-go people (err... my family is. If I had it my way, I'd plan out every little detail! :D). We had decided a few days ago after talking to Jennifer and Derrick, that we'd go ziplining in St. Lucia. They had done it before and recommended the company Treetop Adventure Park.... and said we didn't need to book the excursion, we could just take a cab there. So we headed out with that in mind (except for Mom, who put on a swimsuit despite the ziplining plan, and returned to the ship when she found out that there was no pool at the ziplining place). Well.... all of the cab drivers drove big 15-pax vans and wanted $120 for a roundtrip to Treetop Adventure Park. We only had three people, and tried very hard to convince people to share the cab with us, but no one else wanted to go ziplining... everyone was beach-bound. Rachel's a smart girl and talked a guy down to $90 for the three of us. It was really confusing and kind of amazing how she did it - just started quizzing the guy for info on gas prices, time, mileage, then started dividing numbers at a rapid pace. I think the guy only agreed because she went way over his (and my) head. And she could have been completely bluffing the numbers - I don't know. Remember that I'm the architect, and Rachel is the civil engineer (actually, I think that's the first time I've ever told that to you!). Despite the common misconception, architects aren't really great at math. :D Well, we turned down the $90 guy because that was just our fare there - we'd still have to pay to go ziplining. So, we were going to give up, return to the ship and get Mom, and go to the beach. Then we walked by these guys in Treetop Adventure Park polos. They were waiting for their bus because they were taking a mountain biking excursion there. Well, Dad started talking to the tour guide, and the tour guide called their office and agreed to put us on his bus, and we could pay the excursion fare, then just break off and go ziplining once we got there. Finally... after over an hour of negotiations... SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
