I have plenty of experience as a bank cashier.I have been shortlisted for a job in a casino cage.I have a lot to learn about procedures, passenger attitudes and expectations,in short the new rules of the game

the best way to start is online:cool:

I would like any suggestions or ideas about my new job role and how to give it my best.

Also what not to do:eek:

You will be free in the ports, possible to do port duties, swipe passengers cards.

You will work as cashier only when the casino is open. Usually cage opens 1 hour before casino opens. Worst day is when they count the slot drop. Procedures you will learn on board, there is not a big difference between a bank and a casino, just that you have also casino chips and slot tickets.

Well,I don't steal money have not done so in 20 years

I am more observant of people than a "smiling' person and i never forget people. So maybe i would have to learn to smile and learn small talk.i do however have a heart for people its just that one really does not know who is who.I experience at US Army camps in Afghanistan was good but those were soldiers not civilians.I previous experience was in an Indian bank where we did mass banking not class banking

Anyone think the OP of this thread will be back to see the wonderful advice we all gave him or her?

I'm back I'm back and I am an Indian' he 'not a Rambo type in real life but a Rambo online only. Most western women would be more masculine than me

Clearly you seem to have work experience in a casino so nice to know you

If the cage opens one hour before the casino what work would you be doing in that one hour?

I have to research your reply online before I ask lazy questions

Research1) what is Slot drop Is it the collection of money.Well we Indians work like dogs in Banks so no problem

2)Casino Chips 1$.5$ 25$ 100$ in colours like red green black and blue -just remembering

3) Slot tickets -tickets to run machines

4) swipe passenger cards my guess when embarking and disembarking?

I love internet research ,THANKS for your hints

Are you Romanian-I worked with Romanian soldiers at Kandahar Afghanistan

Don’t neglect the staff. “We have taken many cruises over the years and we always bring candy with us to give to the staff. It is amazing this little act of kindness brings a smile to their faces,” said Woodenduck

I think i have to be friendly but not over friendly -like the reserved british -good morning ,how are you etc.No political or religious discussions and no discussions about other staff(gossip)
