mslavender Posted April 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Are there two separate lines: one line to purchase tickets and another line for ticketholders to get on the tram?

mslavender Posted April 17, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Hi Yukon: Thanks for the info on the Mount Robert Tramway lines. Another question: Is there usually a long line to buy tickets or to get on the tram?
MichTraveler Posted April 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2005 When are you crusing? We have gone twice in May (early season) and did not have to wait even a single person. First in line!
mslavender Posted April 17, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Hi MichTraveler: We're going July 3, 2005, on the Legend of the Seas. I was wondering about the lines for Mount Robert Tramway because there are three other cruise ships in port on the day we are there.
frames Posted April 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2005 We were there a few years ago on June 24th. I do not recall waiting to go up. There was a bit of a wait to come down - but it wasn't too long. Plus they have things to look at up top, gift shop, restaurant,...etc. Great hike up top and on a clear day - fantastic view of Gastineau Channel. Good luck & enjoy! mslavender Posted April 18, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted April 18, 2005 Hi frames: I've read that the view is beautiful. I'm thinking I would like to go rain or shine.
dare2dream Posted April 18, 2005 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2005 Is the tramway within walking distance from the dock? Is it more than a mile away? Any information would be helpful. Arriving in Juneau Wed Aug 17, sailing on HAL Veendam. This trip is for our 25th wedding anniversay. We're looking forward to a wonderful adventure in AK. I love these boards and appreciate all the information shared here. Happy cruising to all. Brenda
Budget Queen Posted April 18, 2005 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2005 I've never encountered significant lines for the tram. It is right at the dock and walking distance from any dock space if you don't have any mobility limitations. The trams depart about every 10 minutes.
