renting a car in cozumel

In cozumel, there was a car rental place right at the port. They rented out these little dune buggy/beach crawler things. They seated four, and if I remember correctly, it was 65 dollars for the day. Not a bad price, and plenty of fun to tak a lap around the entire island in, stopping at every bar along the way :-D

Me and hubby rented a "Smart Car" last January. It was a blast to drive around the island. We are both very "fluffy" so I didn't even think we would fit in but it was actually quite comfy. Don't remember the cost but it was reasonable and we just walked right up to a rental place at the pier, no reservations. Quick and easy process. I do buy ALL the insurance they offer from reading the horror stories on here. Sometimes I think you can end up with too much info :confused: Have fun!!

What pier where you at? We will be at Puerta Maya Pier and have rented from ACE for March. They informed me that they have a shuttle to take you to the rental counter. Any info would be helpful.
