kayo kruiser Posted January 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Hi We'll be disembarking in Amsterdam following a cruise this May/June. I'm hopeful someone will have a suggestion as to where to book accommodations in the Netherlands for the following 3 nights. It doesn't need to be in Amsterdam as we will have stayed there for 2 days before the cruise. We're hoping to spend the 4 days post-cruise by travelling around the Netherlands, including 1 day to Antwerp, Belgium to the Canadian War Cemetery. So, ideally, we will stay somewhere fairly central that will have a place to park a rental car, good restaurants, some night life, scenery, etc. Any advice? Thanks so much. Ine Posted January 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2012 As you might know parking often is a big problem in NL, not only expensive, but also difficult to find.... But regarding your question, have a look at the VanderValk hotels/motels. You will find them in various regions across the nation. They have a good reputation. http://en.valk.com/pages/Default.aspx?ID=6487 Maybe the one in Breda (southern part of NL ) is what you are looking for? Breda is a small charming old town.http://en.valk.com/pages/Default.aspx?ID=3771 Or maybe (farther away from Antwerp - in Vught closeby to 's Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch for short). http://en.valk.com/pages/?ID=3376&i=0&propertycode=VUG Looking at your travelplans however, you might opt for a hotel in Belgium too.
