San Diego - Near Beach?

Hi all,

 

I posted this in the pre/post cruise hotel section, but there is hardly any traffic down there, so i was really hoping that I could find a San Diego expert here :) .

 

We will be staying in San Diego for an extra 3 days and we'd like to stay on the beach - or nearby. Any suggestions? We are going in June and there will 7 of us including a toddler.

My favorite beaches to go to are: La Jolla Shores, Torrey Pines State Beach, or Coronado. All are great places to go with kids - my girls love going to any of them!

 

I'm not sure about hotels around them - I don't notice them, ykim?! :)

Thanks for the La Jolla suggestion - we booked a 2 bedroom suite at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis club - looks great!
