Grand Cabin D735 Surprise

Hi all:

Just back from the grand and had a wonderful cruise. We were in cabin BB D735 - aft -- and hid a pottle of cabernet behind the life vests in the closet. It is pretty far in the back and buffered by the life jackets. You can not see it unless you are over 6'4" like my husband who hid it. I pulled out the jackets as you would for muster and the bottle did not move. If you have that cabin -- check to see if its still there -- you never know!

We do not drink and they sent us a bottle for problems with the pursers desk (of course no cork screw was provided -- wonder what that means LOL). Other than that was a wonderful cruise! Service was great. They changed the AFT pool to a FAMILY pool and the conservatory to adults only. They applied the no chair saving rules. Service in horizon court was some of the best we ever had. Crown grill and sabatinis were WONDERFUL! Did not eat in the main dining room. Casino was not good to us:( Periodic toilet flushing problems (hence the apology from the pursers desk for how they responded) - was fixed within a day each time and we were given nice OBC to compensate. The grand is showing her age in some spots -- but she is still a wonderful ship as she was on our first princess cruise 10 years ago.

Great to hear - we are on in 2-weeks. which itinerary did you go on? Did you use the Sanctuary at all?

You may want to advise the occupants of D735 that there may be a surprise lurking in their closet. Then again, I'd guess some of the crew monitor this board and if it is not discovered by the current occpants, it will likely wind up down below.

we did san juan, st thomas and st, maartin. We did not use the sanctuary -- I use the lotus pool right below it -- nice loungers there and its free. Did not look busy to me.

We are in this cabin for our February cruise. I know there is a partition on the balcony, but can you let me know how much room is still available? Is there enough room to have the UBD?

There is tons of room -- we did the UBD on it and we, two tables and the servers had tons of room. You will love it.

Thanks for your input. I was wondering what you did at these ports.

San Juan with its late arrival?

Beaches in St. Thomas & St. Martin.

Any other input from your time onboard.

We are doing the same itinerary.
