CSBM Posted January 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2012 We are going on our first cruise this summer and I am concerned with my cabin selection. We are in a balcony cabin. What are your thoughts? csbm

What are your thoughts? csbm I'd prefer to be on deck 6-8. Easier to get almost everywhere
Rare Familygoboston Posted January 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Ocean View or Boardwalk? There aren't too many "bad" cabins on this class of ship...:D If it's BB...look at these deck 14 cabins on Oasis (top cabins) This gives you an idea of what the cabins furthest back look like. Not sure where yours is!
nicolen1101 Posted January 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2012 The only downfall with a balcony on your first cruise is youre more likely to be hooked on cruising that much easier. I'm getting ready to go on my 11th cruise and it will be my first balcony cabin. I can't wait!
booksbythepool Posted January 16, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2012 I'm going to be in a deck 14 aft cabin (ocean view balcony) in 2 weeks. The location is great for me! I plan to spend a ton of time on the pool deck so it doesn't bother me to not be closer to everything else.
gsb Posted January 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2012 I think you'll like 14--better views, closer to the windjammer(16) and sports venues--zip line, flow riders, rock walls, mini golf, etc.:)

will773 Posted January 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Your location should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it.
dz9yvr Posted January 16, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2012 The pool desk is directly above you, so noise could be an issue. I would move down a deck to 12.
