Early Saver - move to upgrade?

Before I call carnival, am looking for some advice/suggestions. Here's my situation. We have several cabins booked for a cruise in April. It was to celebrate my parents' 80th birthdays. Sadly, my dad passed away before Christmas. My mom still wants to go on the cruise. They were booked at an interline rate, and we are still more than 60 days out, so I think we can replace the person in the cabin with her with no problem.

I have an early-saver cabin booked with 3 of us in my cabin. I would like to move my son from my cabin to my mom's cabin. I know I would have to pay a $50 fee plus the difference in cabin cost. Is that all it would be? Anyone have any experience with this?

I just want to have thought it through before I call my PVP. Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me, I really appreciate it.
