Rental Car in Progresso

I'm thinking about renting a car and drive to Merida and the nearby Mayan ruin. Is the road there safe and easy to navigate? Thanks.

Roads are good and safe and not too conjested until you get into Merida.

I've used Executive and they have an office in Progreso and Merida, however I haven't rented a car there. Bus always worked very well for me. I'm sure you will enjoy Merida. Remember, Merida is a large city and like any strange city, traffic and the signals can be a bit frustrating. Population is 900,000.
