Freeport port to port lucaya distance

Ive heard that you have to take a cab or bus when in port to go to Port Lucaya....however, we are young and able to hike....wonder what the distance is...approx miles to Lucaya....also, most importantly, is it safe to do? Thanks

I have read that it is about 12 miles.

Not a walkable distance. You can get a van cab for $5 pp and then walk all around Port Lucaya.

I wouldn't suggest walking it. It is far and would take a long time (which would waste the short amount of time you have here). Also, it is through town which is like walking around most any town. If you want to go hiking, head out to Lucaya National Park or the Rand Nature Center, both have great trails. Enjoy your stay.
