Butterfly farm to Le Galion beach

I have seen in a couple of posts that these two places are very close. Has anyone ever walked it? Would it be a safe walk? About how far?

 

I will be travelling with my 6 year old and want to make sure it is safe and not too far of a hike.

I have never walked it, only driven from one to the other. They are on the same road called Le Galion Beach Rd. The beach is approximately 1/3 of a mile past the Butterfly Farm. I would not hesitate to walk from one to the other with a 6 year old. Great plan for a fun family day on the island.:)

We have walked it . It takes about 5 minutes and is maybe 300 yds . Le galion is just such a peaceful quite beach . Perfect for a six yo . They have

burger joint type food and most importantly Ice cream at Le Galion .

Poor beach for snorkeling IMO. We tried it there on a couple of occasions but only a few fish.

Ditto , but it's free snorkeling ! A great place for beginners to try in the shallows though , to get familiar .
