Road closure in new Orleans Sunday.

Just a heads up, heard I-10 would be closed all day Sunday on the causeway. I have posted this on three sites to help anyone I could. This could sure mess up time.

I-10 in both directions: Road closed.

between Exit 226: LA 3152; Clearview Parkway and Exit 229: Bonnabel Boulevard (New Orleans). Road closed. Road construction. Starting Sunday until Sunday, at about 3:00PM CST.

 

Comment: I-10 Eastbound and Westbound between Clearview and Bonnabel is scheduled to be closed. Heavy delays are expected. Alternate Traffic Routes: Veterans Blvd., Airline, Earhart, and Jefferson Hwy. All Eastbound traffic will exit at Clearview and detour south on Clearview to US 61 (Airline Dr.), then east on Airline to I-10 East. All Westbound traffic will exit at Bonnabel and detour to west on Airline, North on Clearview to I-10 West. Traffic headed to Metairie should exit at West End Blvd. I-610 West Detour west on Airline, North on Clearview to I-10 West.

I was in New Orleans in Oct when they closed this on a sunday What a mess! Took me almost 3hrs to get to airport from downtown. Shoulda been a 30min trip....my advice, take a cab and tell them to use back roads....
