bzv143 Posted January 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I just received a United States Bankruptcy Court Notice the was quite ambiguous regarding Windstar Cruises: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO DISMISS OR CONVERT CASE" United States trustee has filed a motion to dismiss or alternatively convert debtor(s) chapter 11 case to a case under chapter 7. A Hearing...blah blah blah..." HELP? Anyone know the back story? The front story? Is it a Dismissal (Windstar is now solvent) or a Chapter 7 (liquidation)?
6rugrats Posted January 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2012 On April 1 2011 Ambassadors filed for Chapter 11. Xanterra Parks & Resorts completed the purchase of Windstar Cruises on May 25, 2011. They are not in Chpt. 7 Bankruptcy. http://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Bankruptcy-court-approves-Windstar-Cruises-sale/
