heidik Posted January 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Booked my first Oceania TA - what tv channels are shown in the stateroom? How about movie options?
sitraveler Posted January 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2012 there'll be Fox, Sky news, several ship channels, the CSI channel, 3-4 movie channels, 5-6 music channels. See you in 58 days.
heidik Posted January 20, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted January 20, 2012 do they have a pay-per-view or dvd movie menu? Also, I just got off the Celebrity Solstice this past week and was pleased to see they had TNT! I'm wondering if the Azamara will also have it......:D
bphman Posted January 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2012 On the Marina there was an extensive DVD menu but the movies were older classics for the most part. No recent releases from what I could see.
Mura Posted January 21, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2012 As far as available channels are concerned, it seems to me (I'm not a big TV watcher but I will turn it on at night) that they change according to cruise! I'm sure that's exaggerated. But on previous "R" cruises there was the National Geographic Channel (or at least shows from that channel), but I don't recall anything like that on our Marina cruise in October. You may get CNN or BBC or Fox ... or any combination of the above. In general, there are plenty of choices -- unless you're on a transatlantic, in which case they tend to lose the signal. I will say that on the "R" ships there are usually movies I want to catch (since we rarely go to a movie theater at home) -- not every night, but several nights at least on a cruise -- but in October there was NOTHING I wanted to watch. That could be me, though. Probably is! Mura
