Larrydano Posted January 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2012 Sharon and I will be staying at the Intercontinental Miami (100 Chopin Plaza)for one day prior to sailing March 3rd on the Norwegian Epic. We are looking for shopping and dining (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) within short walking distance of the Intercontinental so we can have a relaxing low key precruise experience (no rushing around). How close is the hotel to Bayside Marketplace? Any suggestions for unique shopping and dining would be greatly appreciated !!! Stayed at the Intercontinental and walked to Bayside. We took our time and it was maybe 10 minutes? Nice walk at night. For dinner, we actually to a cab to Garcias. It was about $7 if I recall and there was 4 of us.
islandgirlejfan Posted January 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2012 We've been to Mambos and Bubba Gumps at Bayside.....both would be ok for lunch. Very close to the IC. Bayside is the Harborplace of Miami....it's a touristy place but having said that we usually go there when we cruise out of POM.

BlueHerons Posted January 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Bump It's against TOS to bump:D Having said that, FLAHAM and his wife spend a lot of time downtown and have quite a few good places they like to go so maybe he'll see this. In a pinch, Bongos at Bayside. It's Gloria Estafan's Americanized Cuban. Larios in South Beach is better but it is certainly not bad and will give you a taste of Cuba.
