Eastern Indian Cuisine

Hi! I've never sailed before and am I'm looking for a cruise that will offer Eastern Indian vegetarian food. I'll eat anything but my husbands tastes are quite specific. I'd appreciate your information or experience on this topic. ! Thanks in advance. Sunny

Hi, Sunny - My partner is vegetarian, and we were pleasantly surprised on the Norwegian Star two years ago to find a section of the buffet that was Indian Vegetarian foods. We don't know if it was "authentic" but it was tasty. Also, that section of the buffet tended to be less crowded than the other buffet lines with more "traditional" buffet fare. That was back when the Star was sailing in Hawaii, and that's been our only NCL experience, so you may want to ask if they still do this on the NCL boards now.

 

Every other cruise line offers vegetarian options (Celebrity is the most creative and accomodating of all the lines we've been on) but we've never seen Indian foods anywhere else.
