brunolug Posted January 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2012 Prior to the cruise we shall be spending 2-nights at Albion South Beach Hotel which does not offer breakfast. We are looking for a café/restaurant/breakfast-place around that area (walking distance). As European from the Continent we like a full American breakfast (eggs benedicte, etc.). Any suggestion?? Thanks for the advice.
FlaGrl4Evr Posted January 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2012 Try Urban Spoon. Just type in 1650 James Ave and it will pull up a list of restaurants along with the distance from your hotel. http://www.urbanspoon.com/near/12/Miami.html . A great place is the Front Porch at 1458 Ocean Drive, about 2-3 blocks from your hotel. http://www.frontporchoceandrive.com/location.htm Another great spot is the Big Pink located on Collins Ave & 2nd St, although it would be a far walk from the hotel. Thanks for the advice. The News Cafe on Ocean Drive. Beware of the $1.99 breakfasts at all the cafes on Ocean Drive. They get you with $6.00 coffee and $6.00 cokes with NO free refills. While the food is good, if you eat, do not drink anything but tap water even if your waiter pours bottled water. You'll pay through the nose.
