acesallyelton Posted January 26, 2012 #56 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I will not have to get up at 6am for work. I will not have to go to bed early because of getting up at 6am for work. I will not have to house clean, cook, do laundry or clean the kitty litter box. and, most importantly, I will not have to deal with the harsh Maritime Canadian winter! Almost Packed Posted January 26, 2012 #57 Share Posted January 26, 2012 Instead of thinking about what I will do on my cruise, I am now thinking about what I will NOT do. I will not have to answer the phone. I will not have to do any work. I will not have to carry my cell phone everywhere I go. I will not have to make sure to let the dog out. I will not have to make the bed. I will not have to make dinner, or load the dishwasher, or unload the dishwasher. Know what I mean? I am beginning to think that taking a cruise is more about what you don't do than what you do do...... my first cruise, i was exhausted. I did nothing but sleep and played in the casino. That's it. No decks, no pool, no hot tub etc. We just vegged on the balcony and hung out in the casino. It was a great cruise! I love doing nothing sometimes! it's really doing something! M&MGirl1 Posted January 26, 2012 #58 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I will not contact work in any way. If my department can't live without me for a week I will NOT feel sorry for them. I will not have to worry about drinking too much and running into a student or parent. I will not have to look at a computer or cell phone. I will not have to put down a good book to go to bed early so I'm able to get up and go to work the next morning. I will not have to do anything that resembles a chore or errand and I WILL love EVERY minute of my vacation!!! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.006410,-94.591675
sweetlissa Posted January 26, 2012 #59 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I will not: Sweat the small stuff Whine about little things Be rude to anyone Worry if the cruise gets diverted (I sail in the fall usually) Pay attention to how others dress or allow them to bother me at all Pay attention to how much others eat (never have, never will) Pay attention so someone elses whining or complaining I will have an awesome time try something new (activity, food) have at least 1 DOD every day always remember to say thank you to those that help make my cruise wonderful (friends, husband and/or staff) make new friends and enjoy the old friends :-) Carole Needs a like button ;-) Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

trosmiles2u Posted January 26, 2012 #66 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I will not....(thoughts from a cardiac nurse) Be treated like your maid one minute and then expected to save your butt when things aren't going well Skip my lunch break during a 12 hr shift Help anyone to the bathroom Have to convince anyone (I'm not mentioning any names, you new docs know who you are) why their choices (orders) are a bad idea. Have to apologize to anyone because their stay at the hospital didn't meet expectations of a 5 star hotel!!! I love my job and go the extra mile but it does kill me sometimes when I see firsthand the snobbery and audacity of some people who feel entitled. Daycare_98 Posted January 26, 2012 #75 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I will not: (coming from an In-Home daycare Provider) Change a diaper Wipe a snotty nose Cook lunch for 6 kids under 3 Break up fights Listen to "she/hit me" And most importantly I will NOT worry about the captain. I know Carnival hires amazing staff and we will arrive to our destination as long as its safe and if not I'm confident the captain will steer us out off harms way.
