mtaylor04 Posted April 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2005 When we booked our cruise we paid for Princess Insurance - Gold. Our corporate office called today and they want to send me on a trip the same week as my cruise. I have already paid in full. How much will I be out if I agree to change the dates of my cruise?? How long will it take to get a refund? Will they just transfer the credit to another sailing? Thanks in advance for your help. Mary
LARGIN Posted April 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2005 For voluntary cancellation you will get a 90% cruise credit on your next cruise.. You will not receive any money back..
cherylandtk Posted April 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2005 Mary, is this the June 4 cruise? Then you are in the 59-29 day window and the cancellation fee is 50%. So you should get half of the cruise fee back in "cash", usually to your credit card. The remaining 50% you "lose". Except that is what your insurance will cover, at 90% cruise credit. So you are out 5% of your actual cruise cost. Note that this does not include the cost of the insurance or any airfare NOT booked by Princess.
