Whimsy Posted January 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2012 We are considering a Panama Canal cruise in the future. We have sailed numerous times in the mini suites E731 and E730 on the larger Princess ships. We love the covered extended balconies. I know the Island/Coral are smaller ships and this would be our first time on a smaller Princess ship. Are there any must have cabins like these on that class of ships? rdsqrl Posted January 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2012 No, not really. Check out the site below -- it has a detailed explanation, complete with deckplans and photos, of the balcony arrangements on these ships, which is much different (especially in terms of which are covered/uncovered) than other ships. You can see that some regular and mini-suite balconies are larger than others, but none have that extension that you find on the Grand-class ships . . . maybe partly because aft on Emerald, Dolphin, Caribe, and Baja are viewing decks that are open to the public, not cabins. http://mysite.verizon.net/res76zxu/princessbalconies/index.html
