So Confused About Atlantis Day Pass

Thanks for the info we jus booked our hotel at comfort inn to save money for our day in Atlantis,, NOW ANY ONE HAVE ANY ADVISE TO SAVE ON THE ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE DAY IN ORLANDO I FIND IT CRAZIE THAT IS 169 if u book thru cruis line but it's only 70 to get a day pass into the park ??? Help??

I'm traveling with my family n friends so there is 7 of so at 170 a person that's gonna b one expensive day Lola so any advise helps

If you or anyone in your group live in FL, try to get that rate. Also, where are you staying in Orlando? Many times you can get one of the resorts at Universal for about $149 per person. This may sound a little high when you can get a hotel for around $100 or little less, but when you consider what you get, it's well worth it. Check FL rates if you can and also check AAA rates if have that. The park takes AAA everywhere for 10% discount including food. If you stay at a resort, it's very easy to walk to the parks or take a short boat ride. This will take you to City Walk where there are plenty of restraunts, shops, etc. and the entrance to both parks. Your room keys (everyone in room gets one, even kids) become fast passes for the rides. This is normally $25-$40 (depending on season) per person, per park, per day. Plus the ones you buy only work once per ride. Your room key will work as many times as you like for each ride. The resorts will also have very nice pools and they play movies out at the pool on certain nights. Many times they have tickets for one park and get the second park for free. I definately wouldn't pay the cruise price. Of course it may include a ride, but you might can purchase that seperate too if you need it. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

We are planning on going to Atlantis when we dock on November 22nd (thanksgiving day). Will it be too crowded to even enjoy? We dock at 8am and leave at 5pm.

It will be crazy crowded and more than likely they will not be selling same day passes.

You might want to look into www.majestictoursbahamas.com for passes..

Keep in mind that the waterpark doesn't open until 10am.. and you will need to leave before around 3:45pm to get back over the bridge in time to board your ship in time. Not alot of time.. with long lines and such to battle.

Does anyone think that Atlantis will be very crowded Oct. 16, 2012? My girlfriend and I are going to be on a Carnival Cruise and she really wants to do the waterpark there. We've both been to Nassau several times and been to the casino and stuff, but never done the water park part of it.

Any advice for this time of year is appreciated. Thanks!

Check to see how many ships are in.. if there are just 1 or 2.. it shouldn't be too bad.. if there are more.. may be crowded.

Thanks for the link. It looks like there will be 4 ships (including ours) the day we will be there. My girlfriend really wants to do this, so I'm sure we'll end up going for it. We may have some friends that will want to go to. If so, I'm going to convience them to book the comfort suits at $229 plus other fees and extra 3rd&4th. I figured it would run about $90 a person that way with transportation. That beats the $175 per person that Carnival is charging.

I just called. We're going to be there in October and the total came to $406 for 4 people. :( But it's still cheaper than booking through the ship. We arrive on the October 15th. There are two other ships, one before and one after.

I was told the Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter thru RCL began at 10 a.m. This means we probably wouldn't be there until 11 a.m. On the ferry trip back, is it possible to get off at paradise pier and go on to atlantis so my friend can see the aquarium and digs? We do not care about the waterpark or casino. I know we will have to pay. Then we could just take a taxi back to the ship. We don't leave until midnight. THis is in mid October.

I went online (http://www.comfortsuites.com) and joined the Choice Privileges and then paid for the advance booking (more than 45 days out) for 4 people. The total came to $283 for 4 people. With the room I get tickets to Atlantis water park.

Did they charge your card yet? When I booked it said 24-48 hours. They never charged me. I called 72 hours after booking to see what was going on and they said it could be charged up to my arrival.

Scuba, how accurate is that site as far as time in port? I am asking because I am hearing differing stories about how long our ship will be in port. We were told there was a change to the itenerary and we could be leaving like 5pm but this site shows 11:59pm. (I like that time much better) Our trip is 9/2-9/6 on Sensation. (And thanks for all the info you have shared here it is very helpful for a newbie)

Does anyone know what the supposed fees are when you arrive at comfort suites.

If you go to the comfort suites website, and do a mock reservation, you can see the details.

18% tax.

Energy surcharges and fees, as well as $40 pp for ea. add'l adult.

The exact fees would depend on the room rate and the number of people and ages for your date.

ALL resorts have these fees. not just Comfort Suites.

These sites are NOT accurate. the only place you can find your correct itinerary is thru your cruiseline. If you suspect there is a change .. contact them directly.

These sites are created weeks and sometime months in advance. and in some cases are not updated correctly.

No no. I already booked. And paid my total in advance. The full amount since I did an early booking rate. It's has,

*Estimated Tax $78.08

But it charged me the full amount including taxs already. So am I not paying anything when I arrive?

Depends on where you booked and what the site says. some say that add'l charges will be charged at check in. Some vendors don't add the surcharges .. you pay them upon arrival.

Room tax is 18%.

From the Choice Hotel website:

Must have one adult 21 years or older in each room. Energy surcharge: 13.95 per person per night. Housekeeping gratuities: 5.00 per person per night These are additional charges not included in nightly estimated total and must be paid directly at the hotel. Persons 16 and older are charged as adults. 3rd/4th person charged 40.00 per night + tax and service charges.

I booked direct through comfort using my choice rewards. So since I'm not staying there over night maybe I can get the 14 and 5 dropped. Idk. I know I already paid the full room rate and taxes already. They took It out of my account.

Something I realized on the Choice hotel site is if you have Farm Bureau Insurance you can book under the significant organization rate which for me was the same as advance purchase rate and you will be able to cancel up until 5 days in advance. This makes me feel a little better about purchasing so far in advance. :D

Since those payments are collected by the unions and not the disgression of the hotel.. it's unlikely you will get a refund.
