Not convinced we are still moving. I am watching the close shot of the bow and there is an intermittent light which I am taking to be the lighthouse on the mainland and it doesn't appear to be moving in relation to the ship.

Oh funny because I was just going to post that I feel we've seen some good progress in the past hour. haha. I was counting windows or balcony pieces on the left side of the bow and feel like I see more than I did at dusk.

its bound to slow overnight as the visual checks will be more difficult in the dark. I've been away an hour and it seems like its still moving, but can't be sure. Edited September 16, 2013 by kirsty_r

It is still moving. I have been capturing images every 15 minutes to compare for the last hour or so. Can't post then here since I am at work. :eek: But definitely there is quite a bit of progress in the last hour.

wow! that lighthouse is flashing below the mast now!

I mean the angle of the mast in relation to the light was lower than the light before, but now it is higher!

Well there were 6 windows or balcony chunks that I was counting at dusk, and now I see 9 so there is definitely progress. I have no idea what I am counting (LOL), but it's my personal reference point.

From the looks of it now, I believe the entire Lido deck is now out of the water. That long row of windows are the windshields located at the open public deck area two decks above the bridge on deck 10. I think the one closest to the water is the extreme starboard end of the windshield which goes for about the same width of the hull

A correction to my last post after looking at a picture of the ship in its original pre-accident condition. I though it was similar to Carnival's Dream Class where Lido is deck 10. Lido is 9 on this ship. Deck 10 is likely the spa deck and the open area with the windshields visible here is actually deck 11. The ship starboard side is likely beginning to clear the water.

My reference point I have been counting is 3 decks above the bridge. Anyway this is a great photo to compare with the live feed.

definitely progressing. I had to step out of the office for a little and took screenshots when i left, and when i returned. save both and flip between them. taken 2pm - 3:45 EST

Get your laptop wired up to the big television. It does make a difference. Helps when the wifes away to bed.
