Barbados day Passes to All Inclusives

Has anyone been to one of Barbados all-inclusives on a day pass? Which one is better? Or are you better off sticking to the cruise line beach day?

We went to the Hilton last year it wasn't all inclusive

But included lunch and a drink, towels,sun beds, shade etc,.

The cost was $35 per person

I'm not sure what you mean by the 'cruise line beach day', if that is a tour offered by the ship then you will pay way more than you need to.

 

The Hilton offers 2 passes, $35 to just use their facilities (pools, beach, loungers etc) or $55 to include lunch and a soft drink. Virgin cocktails are included in the drinks list and the lunches are a good size and very good quality.

 

There are other hotels that offer day passes, the Almond resorts do not have wonderful reviews so we have avoided them. We went to Turtle Beach but that is further down the south coast in St Lawrence Gap, we weren't hugely impressed with it, though it is nice enough.

Crystal Cove do not advertise their day pass but just email or call them, we spent a great day there for $110 each all inclusive.

 

The Boatyard does an offer for cruise passengers that includes loungers, a drink and a taxi back to the ship. The water there is lovely and the beach wide. It's not luxury like a 4 star resort but we like the vibe there.

Did you book the Hilton day passes through Hilton in advance or did you just go and buy them there or did you do it thorugh a service?

When we visited on a cruise trip we emailed them the week before and asked if we needed to book, they said to just turn up, but we were nervous that they would be full (so we went as early as we could).

 

Last week we stayed in Barbados and I called them in the morning to see if they had availability, they said to just turn up.

 

So, I don't think you can book it in advance, but you may be able to do that through the daypass website, they don't seem to charge a surcharge on top of the normal Hilton price, so would be worth it.

 

BTW, the bar/restuarant where you have lunch has a water cooler where you can get drinking water for free instead of taking water bottles with you!

Just wondering, is it $35 pp or $35 for 2? Any idea of how long a taxi ride it is? and how much?

Is the pool area nice?

google is your friend! The Hilton has 2 pools and a childrens pool. One on of the pools has an infinity edge and is set up high with views across to the ocean.

About how far is it to the Hilton from the pier? Apprx. taxi cost?

How is the area surrounding the hotel?

Is there any shopping near the hotel or pier that is good?

This is from last week, so I'm assuming the prices have gone up by $5pp for the non food option.
