1) A little advance on the gratuity to the cabin attendant really helped us on AOS last Oct.

2) DON'T try to do it all.....pick some things you really want to do...but don't go too crazy.

3) See the shows.....

4) Eat some new foods......

5) Have realistic expectations.......if you think everything will be perfect, you may be let down. If you float along like the tides you will have a much better time.

6) Don't overpack......bring things you can mix and match. (like khakis and a bunch of shirts instead of 5 complete outfits.)

ALso....women really do NOT need a different pair of shoes for every outfit.

7) If you want pix of the ship, get to the pier early so you will be in the first bunch of people on board. If you can drop your stuff in your cabin, that's great. Grab a very quick bite to eat and go take pix before all the pax get aboard. Better yet, shoot first, feed later. (that is if you want nice pix without crowds)

8) Have fun..you are on vacation!

9) Tip the room service servers in cash, as well as leave a few bucks for the servers in the buffet as these gratuities are not included. Also....a couple bucks in cash now and then to your favorite bartender is nice.

how's that..???

If you're flying to port (or even if you aren't) arrive a day early.

Don't sweat the small stuff!

Replace used clothing in your suitcase so there won't be so much to do on the last day.

Smile and enjoy! :)
