Seadreams27 Posted February 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Just had to share.:D:D My DH has booked a cruise for my birthday, it was supposed to be a suprise but I received a email this morning regarding booking detalis, even though DH had left strict instructions not to send any info to my email address as it was to be a suprise. Never mind, I'm just rapt that he has done this for me. He is a bit upset with p&o but I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, I think it's a big suprise. There is one thing I would like to know, and that is what will we be expecting weatherwise and water temperature. We are going to Lifou, Vila and Noumea in mid May..hope it's not too cold.:)
yatchet Posted February 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Almost certainly won't be cold, in fact it should be perfect weather in May.:) Going from Traralgon to Sth pacific may be a bit of a temperature shock. Lol.
cjm66 Posted February 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2012 What a lovely surprise. Now with more notice you can spend more time dreaming and perhaps considering your wardrobe. We have been on Vanuatu and Noumea in May for land trips and it was cool at night but pleasant during the day. Not lolling on the beach warm, except in the middle of a sunny day but OK for snorkelling and sheltered sun bathing. The sea days to and from can be colder on Autumn cruises but it does warm up as you get further north and you can get some glorious days with more settled weather. But it is all a lottery as cruisers to New Zealand have found out this January! Enjoy! Colleen
Sandielle Posted February 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2012 What a treasure of a husband you have there, Lorrae. May should be a lovely time to cruise to the South Pacific - you shouldn't have that horrible humidity. :)
Seadreams27 Posted February 3, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted February 3, 2012 He is a treasure:D Just realised I spelt surprise wrong..oops..thought it looked strange:o Thank-you for your replies. It will certainly be warmer than Traralgon. We were in that area in late march early april and it was still quiet warm, I am hoping it will be about the same. (I like it hot and don't mind humidity)
fanoforion Posted February 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Hi Lorrae, I had a similar story of a "surprise" cruise. I shouted my husband a cruise for his birthday a couple of years ago...everything remained a secret until our next door neighbours , came to our house and presented DH with a card and present...husband said..thank you, but my birthday isn't until next week....we know said master 4, but you will be on your secret cruise. so we are giving your present now. We all laughed...what else could I do. Have a great cruise...get your duty free grog and cigs in Vila... kind regards, Lorraine:):)
