seajay312 Posted April 20, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted April 20, 2005 okay, i know a few of you, in fact, a lot of you have cruised on the Empress within the past year. is it possible none of you are gamblers and you never went to the casino. l'm sure someone must have noticed whether or not there are two (2) simple games in the casino on the Empress. "Let it Ride" and/or "3 Card Poker". "Bueller, Ferris Bueller?" Can anyone answer. Thanks.

parothead Posted April 21, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2005 don't have too much good luck at one time, i was supprised to find out that you have to fill out IRS forms if you win over $1000 just like on land. i was under the impression that money won in international waters was not taxable. The law states winnings of $1200 or more on slots or bingo, and Americans need to declare this all over the world (provided you are given a w2-g copy)
seajay312 Posted April 21, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted April 21, 2005 The $1200 taxable on the slots yes, but not on the table games. That amount is higher if I'm not mistaken.

seajay312 Posted April 21, 2005 Author #9 Share Posted April 21, 2005 Hopefully I'll be just as lucky and will definitely post and review the whole cruise including the gambling. Thanks again.
DON M. Posted April 21, 2005 #10 Share Posted April 21, 2005 The $1200 taxable on the slots yes, but not on the table games. That amount is higher if I'm not mistaken. Unless you hit a jackpot on a table game like carribean stud there is no limit to the amount you can win on a table game, there is never a w2-G involved for winnings.
