ERNLYN Posted April 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Can anyone share any information on this subject. I think many ship passengers may have thought the illness was from the cruise ship. This outbreak took place on a NWA return flight as well as other flights after the POA cruise end of August 2004. The outbreak was documented with the Hawaii CDC as well as Michigan, and Florida CDC's
parody Posted April 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2005 1T2345678 The following was reported at http://www.co.boulder.co.us/health/hpe/pdfs/EpiConnect0604.pdf However, this was May/June and not August, so maybe it is another incident? Cruise Ship Outbreak On May31, Cruise Ship A reported an unusual number of passengers experiencing gastrointestinal illness. The ship’s medical staff reported that 190 of 2,018 (9.40%) passengers, and 20 of 896 (2.23%) crew members were ill. Predominant symptoms included diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and nausea. The cruise ship was scheduled to dock in Skagway, Alaska on June 2, then sail to Whittier, Alaska on June 5, 2004, to disembark passengers. A Google search may yield other cases.121234567890123 123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123 123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123 123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123 123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123 123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123
