dobes3kh Posted February 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2012 We booked Murano on the Equinox and I assume it would be the same as the Eclipse. We had our own table. It was quite nice--a half moon shaped booth.
emo Posted February 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Hi Jimbo, recognize you from the roll call, not too much longer and we'll be on Eclipse :) Yes, you will most definitely have your own table for 2. Murano is an excellent choice for a special occasion. Happy Anniversary to you and your wife!
Rare TLCOhio Posted February 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Booked Murano for Anniversary treat for DW(and myself). What is the seating configuration, ie will we have a table to ourselves or do you have to share tables?? YES! Your own table, nice room, setting, service and food. We did our 39th wedding anniversary during last June in Murano. See below for more details, plus here are some of my "preview" pictures to get you excited. Lots to like on these Solstice-type ships. Speciality Dining Photos/Tips: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1434523&page=2 THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Did a June 7-19, 2011, Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 62,365 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at: http://www.boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1426474 Here is an overview for this wonderfully-appointed, speciality Murano dining room with nice wood, ceiling, glass, etc., details.* Maximum capacity for seating in 90.* For the last night, they have 30 people on a waiting listing.* We booked ahead which was smart in order to get a specific date on a sea day.: The “Creamy Maine Lobster Bisque” is one of their most popular starter items at Murano. It is far different from what is served on the rest of the Solstice. It involves seven hours prep time for the different items. The broth is poured into your bowl with nice drama . . . and great taste. There are ten different starter options. You can have as many courses of starters as you wish. I had a second starter of Diver Scallop Wellington-Style. The warm goat cheese souffle is also a popular item here. : Three of us had the Murano Lobster as our main entrees. It is cooked and prepared table-side from lobster tails that are first presented table-side.: And then the lobster is served!!!: Three at our table at Murano went for the “Grand Marnier Souffle” with Creme Anglaise a la Grousse Tahitenne. It was loved so much, especially the sauce that poured in the middle.: My dessert choice was “Les VI Etoiles du Murano”. It is six different bite-sized desserts. My wife and I were going to share this one, but she switched for the souffle. I got this whole selection, but, don’t worry, I didn’t and couldn’t eat it all. Very delightful!:
islandgirlejfan Posted February 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Excellent venue to celebrate an anniversary! The tables are nicely spaced and it really has a uncrowded feeling about it....and the food is just amazing! :)
2Fltravelers Posted February 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Booked Murano for Anniversary treat for DW(and myself). What is the seating configuration, ie will we have a table to ourselves or do you have to share tables?? Tha's a good choice. We dined there for our anniversary in January. We also enjoy at least one evening dining in Murano, usually on a formal night. We opt for a table for 2 by the window even though there is no view as it seems more private and they almost always are able to accomodate us if I go the Murano a day or two before and request it. Lsimon Posted February 6, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Seating in the specialty dining room is never shared unless you arrange the sharing on your own. Reservations are required and your table will be for the number of people included in your reservation.
