Jo42 Posted April 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2005  Has anyone taken the Costa transfer from Milan to Savonna? Is someone waiting for you as you come through from bagage recaim. if not, was there any difficulty in finding the coach. How long does the journey take? Regards:confused:
major Posted April 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2005 We took the transfer in March of this year. There are Costa Reps waiting for you as you come out of the baggage claim area. They have a list of the people that they are scheduled to meet and they make sure that they have everyone before they leave. The trip is about 1 hour and 30 minutes but it is a comfortable bus and the scenery is great so it makes the time go by fast. Have a great trip....wish we were going back soon. Jo42 Posted April 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 18, 2005 Thanks Major, did you have a good time? Was your cruise aboard the Magica?
major Posted April 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2005 Yes, we cruised on the Magica and had a fantastic time. The ship is a wonderful vessel and we thouroughly enjoyed the ports of call. Despite the negative reviews that have been posted in the past, the crew is very friendly and helpful. The food was also acceptable, not five star dining, but still o.k. If you get a chance to go to the specialty restaurant, we highly recommend doing so. Have a great trip. Major
Jo42 Posted April 18, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 18, 2005 Major, one last question! Were there 2 formal nights and if so what nights were they. Sorry I've gone off the the thread I know!
major Posted April 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2005 There were three formal nights........the first was the third night on the ship, during the sail from Naples to Alexandria..........the second was the Sunday of the second week and then the third was two days later....... Just in case you are wondering, the cruise that we were on did not attract a lot of black ties.....there were a few around but many men just wore suits(of all colours) or blazers. We were quite disappointed at this but I guess that it just isn't like it use to be. Major
