benona Posted February 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Has anyone ever done this? We were planning to have my parents bring the kids to the ship at the second port (our home town) to embark there - so we can have a few days before the cruise and the first few days of the cruise by ourselves as a celebration of our 14th wedding anniversary... Wondering what the cruise line's view of this would be?? we are going with RCCL...
jcl410 Posted February 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Your best bet will be to send this request in writing to RCI in advance. Unless it runs afoul of Australian rules or regulations it should be allowed. There won't be any discount on your children's fare, however. paul929207 Posted February 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Talk to your TA or RCI. People do get permission to board late or debark early, but it must be in compliance with the laws and must be approved in advance. Your kids would need to go thru immigration at a port where continuing passengers would not.
