I have to confess I haven't read this entire thread but I intend to! Meantime, I just have to tell you, my friend, that a new restaurant has opened in this neck of the woods and this is on the children's menu:

 

Monte Dogs - 4.49

 

All beef hot dogs dipped in Cheddar's Monte Cristo batter and fried till golden. Served with your choice of french fries, edamame or fresh steamed vegetables.

 

I'll put on my Mickey Mouse ears, walk on my knees, carry a sippy cup, whatever I have to do to try that, and thought you would appreciate it.
