Questions about the jewel

The Buffet is the Garden Cafe and is on deck 12. There are two dining rooms Tsars and Azura. You are right, one is mid ship (Azura) and Tsars is Aft. Tsars is a little fancier then Azura but not a big difference if you ask me. Enjoy your cruise!

The buffet is the Garden Cafe and located at the rear of the ship.

If you keep walking through the buffet to the very rear of the ship, you will find The Great Outdoors. They have a smaller buffet & full bar back there. It's a lovely place to sit & eat under some shade.

Sometimes we would order a fresh pizza from the buffet & eat it back there.

Other times we ordered wings & fries from the Blue Lagoon, had them box it 'to go' and sat in the Great Outdoors. It was never crowded.

Tsars, one of the MDR's is the biggest, but also the most noisy. Very pretty room.

The other MDR, Azura we actually liked better, as it was quieter and more sedate.

Do yourself a favor and don't wait around for the MDR to open, it's a madhouse outside the MDR's. They seat people very quickly and within 10-15 minutes you can just walk up & get a table.

Also, the Blue Lagoon (open 23 hours) serves breakfast in case you wish to try something a little different than the buffet or MDR every morning.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for the answer to my questions. The blue lagoon on the spirit was a favorite. Could not get enough of that strawberry shortcake. My husband loved picking up coffee all day there.

We also enjoyed the smaller mdr best.

Our next cruise is the star and we will be in a suite. Then comes the jewel.

We are platinum with carnival but after our trip on ncl spirit....we are hooked on ncl.
