Paying Royal Carribean

Henk

I am the owner, I checked that.

Like I said , all is perfect except the payment button.

Anyway, like you suggested, they are all angels and when they cant help me it is my fault, cry cry

Whether you are listed as the first traveler is irrelevant. If there is a second passenger listed on the reservation, you need to log in as that passenger (using their ID and password) to determine whether their login has the button. Someone has to own the reservation, it just isn't you.

It seems to me that I've had the identical problem here in the US. The RCI website is notorious for the oddest glitches. And, it sounds like you got a really lousy customer service rep the first time you called. The agents are usually very nice and extremely helpful. The simplest thing to do is call back. It sounds to me like the rep was confused thinking you had booked through a travel agent (in which case you can not pay directly to RCI.) If you get a nutty answer in your 2nd call, I'd ask for a supervisor. Please keep us posted.

When someone outside of the USA books a cruise online on the RCCL dot com website it is dealt with by the Miramar FL USA team...AMCA cannot access the reservation.

I have tried and tried to find out why there is not a payment button showing for you but sadly I cannot give you an answer on that.

All I can give you is a phone number to call in the USA where they will should be able to assist you -1 305 341 0204

I hope you are able to have this matter resolved soon so you can then move on and have a fabulous cruise.

I allready made the booking guys, the booking is confirmed, the downpayment is made (I got a payment-buttom when I made the booking),

My reservation shows up when I go to my account, so there is no discussion abouth the booking.

Only problem is I cannot see my finacial info and I cannot make payment from the website (I also had to ask them to send me the confirmation invoice) . They just do not answer the questions I mailed them, they only (now, after 5 mails) want me to call them to make the payment.

Great service they have !!

Anyway, I am entittled to make a booking on a US site but sometimes they block it, they have different prices all over the world.

I also had a discussion with HAL few years ago when I wanted to book with an UK agent. They tried to forbid the UK agent to do the booking.

When I mailed them there own regulaions and treatened them to contact a lawyer they sudden said it was a misunderstanding and all was fine then.

Nasty nasty ways of doing bussiness.

Where do you get that from? Why is it not legal to book a cruise via a US TA from outside the US? What´s the law against it?

While it is true that the cruiselines discourage it, but it is possible without a problem and I don´t see any illegal action doing it.

When is the final payment due?

Nou jongen veel geluk hopende is het gauw opgelost.

Henk, try this and see if it helps:

At the top of the RCCL home page it has your country/region listed. Change this to the United States.

Then, down at the bottom left of the US home page there is a Need Help Planning banner; under it is a live chat link. Try that so you are online with a reservation specialist. Maybe they can help.

I noticed that this link is missing on the Netherlands home page.

Good luck!

As a matter of interest which website did you make the booking on? I ask because there are different sites for different countries. If you book on the UK site all pricing is in Pounds sterling. Similarly on the US website all pricing is in US Dollars.

You said when you made the booking you were "invoiced in Euro?"

I appreciate you said you didn't book on the AMCA website, however AMCA is the representative in the Netherlands and perhaps more relevantly is an agency If they had ownership of your booking then any payments would have to be done through them. This is the case with any other agency booking as well. Importantly, your reservation etc. would all show up through the Royal Caribbean website under your "my cruises" page, but the "make a payment" option wouldn't, because your contract is being conducted through an agent.

I suspect this is the root cause of your present difficulty, hence the question which website (country) did you book through that enabled you to pay in Euro? Once you have established this, clear your "cookies" and log on again through that specific website.

Hope this helps.

I booked on the USA website and they quote you in euro's when you live in europe. And like I point out before AMCA invites you in the netherlands to book on the USA website.

Well, That was a good tip, at least I could "talk"to someone.

The problem is that if something is changed in the reservation ( they did something) that info or the payment buttom are no longer vissible.

They are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.

If someone would have told me that right from the start all this communication and questions were not neede.

But they are so afraid to tell that something is not right.

Thanks

I booked on the US site ( in euro's, yes )and all is ok, reservation is fine.

They (after 5 days of asking) finally admitted there is a failure in their website and it has no high priority to fix it. NO apologies or so.

So, at least I know that it is nothing that I did wrong but just a stupid failure on their website wich they do not want you to know.
