Cosmic Rays Posted February 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2012 We fly out to Barbados from Manchester next month to join Azura on a Transatlantic repo. At the airport we are have been told to check in three hours before departure even though we have paid for designated seats on the aircraft. Is there a designated check in at the Thomson desks for our flight or do we join the hordes going all over the world with Thomson? Will there be a P&O rep. at the airport? Colin, You will go to the P&O check in desks not the other desks as you put it "the hordes going all over the world" We have just come back from Azura and we had booked seats, we arrived two hours before and we checked in in about 10 mins. Yes there is a P&O rep there who will ask you to fill in the Health questionaire. We also flew with Thomsons
bearded gent Posted February 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Yes there will be a designated check-in desk and there will be P&O reps on hand to hand out and collect health questionaires that you have to complete before you board. I think you will find that the 3 hours is to allow time for us all to get through security  rather for us to check-in, which is usually very smooth :D

Three hours before is the standard check-in time advised for long haul (over four hours) flights. Carol x

cruiseanywhere2 Posted February 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2012 We fly from Gatwick and will be there four hours before (my husband likes to get to an airport early) will we have to wait an hour to check in or do they open earlier than 3 hours before the flight departs?
