artypharty Posted February 14, 2012 #26 Share Posted February 14, 2012 bus tours take on the personality of the slowest tourist (IMHO)quote] That is an absolutely perfect description of a bus tour! :)
Emperor Norton Posted February 14, 2012 #27 Share Posted February 14, 2012 My husband and I want to see Italy, and are wondering if cruising would really be the best way, or if we should just fly in and see the sites. We want take some time to really see the Vatican. Can anyone give us some hints on things to see and do? Places that we absolutely don't want to miss etc.... Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, we're kind of lost with all this. Don't even really know where to begin.:) I sailed to parts of Italy last June. While some areas were nice from the ship I definitely would've preferred more time and think I should've arrived long before the cruise to see places the cruise wouldn't stop, and to spend more time in places it would.
