aaaaa Posted February 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2012 Good day, Can anyone recommend a specific porthole cabin? My specific concern is noise. A few previous posts have mentioned that, in cabins 322 and 324, there is a disturbing sound of rushing water. Also, are cabins near the elevator particularly noisy -- either from the elevators themselves or from people coming and going? Thanks very much for any information. Ahab10 Posted February 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2012 We stayed in 324 and didn't hear any rushing water other than the 20' waves that somtimes slapped against the hull.
twin123185 Posted February 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2012 Elevator opposite side of rooms. I was close - never heard anything!

noodle Posted February 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Flightmedic, did you enjoy 320? Thinking about booking this cabin. Thanks.
FlightMedic555 Posted February 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2013 I have been on deck 4 twice and deck 3 will be in June. I defer to Twin (Larry) as he has been on deck 3 a number of time and I trust his judgement.
oceanbabe Posted February 14, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Hi: I just gave a deposit for cabin 320 for next year, 2014, anyone ever been in this cabin? thanks,
noodle Posted February 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Just booked 320 for the March 12, 2014 Society Islands and Tuamotus cruise. So excited!
twin123185 Posted February 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Thanks Flight Medic! Deck 3 is great. Near the elevator no problem. You never hear them. It's great being in your room 15 seconds after you board the ship after a hit day filled with sand and wanting to get into the shower. Also since there are fewer rooms the block party is great! Everyone ends up knowing each other. Did I mention that you save a ton of money vs any balcony cabins? Lots I room and the ledge by the portholes is extremely convenient. I have my favorite cabin booked for the repeaters cruise 9/10/14.

Ahab10 Posted February 19, 2013 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2013 We too have been in 320 with no problems. Like Twin, we like the proximity to the gangway.;)
ducklite Posted February 19, 2013 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2013 We're booked into 320 for our cruise. We were told that it was the best of that category, it sounds like we weren't misled. :)

twin123185 Posted February 20, 2013 #14 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Which is your favorite, Twin? I really like 310. only one neighbor and closest to elevator. Been in it twice and will be again in 2014. Booked it this year but the upgrade God gave me a balcony for my back to back. Not sure if I will like it better.
