what to do in Galveston for the day leaving next week

we will be staying in Galveston 1 day after our cruise, next week

our hotel is near the Hobby airport but we are renting a car for the day ,heard not much around the airport to do , so was thinking of going into galveston, will probably be around 12noon time,

what should we do there? or go?

resturants? shops? any ideas?

never been to texas

You may want to check out the Kemah Boardwalk... on the way back to Houston... NASA is also right there on the way back to Houston.

If the little girl in your photo is going with you, you can spend a big chunk of the day at the Moody Gardens and top the day off with a great seafood meal. If it's just going to be adults, take a tour of the Bishop's Palace and walk in the Strand.
